Just ordered replacement phone for crooked screen

OK, I have a new issue relating to the screen. Mine's only slightly crooked, but now I'm getting a ding sound when I open the screen. It's like an old music box tone. I'm sure it's the coil spring or something inside, but I think this little annoyance is going to bug the f*#k outta me.

should I replace? what's the process? do i have to send this one in before i receive the new one? I don't have my old phone anymore. Recycled. I can't not have any phone till it would get replaced.

I just got my replacement g1 today, wasn't expecting it so soon since I ordered the replacement on the 28th and got it today on the 1st. I went to my po box just to see if I had mail and my g1 was in there.
Now the good thing is that my g1 that I have feels better amd more solid than my old one. The screen doesn't wobble or squeek at all..

Wow, that was fast, did you choose overnight shipping or something? I order my replacement last night(11/04), hope to get it soon...

Call T-Mobile, if they decide to send you a replacement and then you send back your old one once you've received your replacement phone.

well I'm gonna call to see if I can get a replacement. What should I say? And if they don't let me hold on to my phone while i wait till they send me a replacement should I say then ill cancel my contract ? Thanks
