Default G1 Browser

Is it just me or does it seem like the G1 doesnt get enough credit for its web browser? I've had mine for about 3 days now and this browser is one of the best available on a mobile device. Coming from a bb pearl i cant believe sometimes how good this browser is

Coming from a sidekick 3, this is orgasm worthy. I can actually see full websites now!

Edit:
Any word on them releasing Chrome for the G1? Or is it what you got, is what you got type of deal?

I think I saw it as an app someone was working on at one point.. But who knows when google will actually approve it, chrome is still beta so...

About the browser.. I haven't found a better experience except on the eveil iPhone 3g, but I think with improvements it will match up.. And the only real reason the 3g beats it is the multi-touch zooming. Not any less of an experience in my opinion with the tap zoom, but it is a more fun experience with the multitouch.

Still glad I went G1

The browser is nice, not quite mobile safari nice, but hands down better than WM, S60, and Black Berry. If it had double tap to zoom like the iPhone or Opera, I would say it is the best browser out. It is, however, much more stable than mobile safari, which crashes ALOT.

Chrome and the G1 browser use the same engine. It would be redundant.
