What's up android community. I'm a long time reader, but this is my first post.:D

Anyway, I was thinking of a great idea for a music player app. Most music players in my opinion don't really offer much in the way of better music playability. What I'd like to see in a music player app is:

1. A built in equalizer. (Perhaps with some good presets as well. rock, hip-hop, jazz, etc.)

2. The ability to crossfade tracks. This might seem small, but most media players on desktops include this.

3. Better integration with desktop media players. I just want to add and update playlists in one step, in the same way as an iPod or any other standalone mp3 player.

If someone has made one already that would be cool.

If someone will make one that would be cooler still.

As for apps, I'm thinking bout making a stock portfolio to track preformance and returns? Is there any interest in that top of utility?

The Google voice application seemed to be slowing down so I removed it. I now receive SMS and voicemail alerts through Gmail (this provides near instantaneous alerts whereas the Google Voice app could only check in 5 minute intervals and consumed phone resources in the process).

When a Google Voice email comes I have it labeled "SMS." I was hoping to archive these messages so they would not be confused with my emails but Android WONT NOTIFY YOU ABOUT UNREAD EMAILS THAT ARE NOT IN UR INBOX

That is,
I Sync the SMS Folder and it shows unread messages in the SMS label but I cannot be alerted about these in the NOTIFIcation pane.

I think custom label notifications would (a) be a cleaner way of integrating Google Voice (since u can literally reply to SMS in GMAIL, and add shortcuts to Gmail labels on your home screen), and (b) have many other applications ALL without consuming very many resources

:-P

To me this is a way of integrating Push notifications without consuming a lot of resources

Can someone make an app that streams what iTunes is playing to our phones? We could then have our own remote speaker systems (i.e. play music on our speakers without any computer cables)

I would pay to have this kinda application and it would truly be awesome

Ive tried DroidTunes but it runs on WiFi and the latest beta seems broken (Ive read that it works for some ppl but their instructions didnt help and it kept crashing). I am thinking it would be possible to implement this kinda app without any Server application running on our computers since we have these A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth services(?)

On 3G it's a pain to check all the new apps every day on the phone itself

I haven't found one in the market yet, but if there is one, could you point me in the right way?

I am used to a different tone for when I receive a new MMS, SMS, email. (Windows Mobile)
From what I have found, by default, you can not do this, but I am sure you could with an app.
Has anyone come across a decent app yet that lets me do this?

specifically I am looking to shut tones off for email, but not text.

(using Moto Droid)

Thank in advance everyone!!!!

There is no visual notification of a text or missed call if the phone is in hibernation mode or off. Having to periodically check the phone to see if you got a text or missed a call is ridiculous. If somebody has this phone and doesn't have this issue please let me know. I can't believe they overlooked a feature as obvious as this.

I got the new Cliq the first day it came out and have been impressed with the phone except for a couple things. My brother has the g1, which he's rooted, and he's got some amazing apps, which made me trade up from my blackberry. What I wish the phone had was an auto power on & off application. My phone charges so much quicker when my phone is off and what I liked about my old blackberry is that if I turn my phone off and I have an alarm set, my phone will auto power up when my alarm goes off. I tested my cliq and it does no such thing.

You may be wondering why I'd want to shut my phone off at all, but at times I just do and hate having to change all my notification settings to not vibrate.

Does anyone know if such app or ability exists on the android? And if it doesn't can someone please please PLEASE develop one?
