G1 Died

Well my pre-order G1 decided to crap out on me christmas day. Starting on christmas it wouldn't work while the screen was up and I was thinking wtf is the point of this if I can't use the keyboard. Then on friday it stopped getting a picture on the screen at all. I called up tmobile and they are expressing me a replacement which should be here by wednesday until then I'm back to using my regular nokia flip phone. I have to give them credit in making this a fast replacement though.

My first one died in 10 days. My 2nd one just put me through a hard reset which lost me some info. I'm almost about done with this phone and ready to go back to my Blackberry and use the G1 as a doorstop.

I walked into a door with ole' G1 in my pocket and pressure cracked the screen. I got another one now and got a new case for this one to protect it. I notice much improved stability in the RC30 vs the RC19 and all previous OS's. I cant help but think that some of these crappy apps in the market combined with a buggy OS have contributed alot to the phones crapping out. All it would take a a bad line of code to have a piece of hardware try to function beyond its capability and fry out. All we can pray for is that are cupcakes are extra sweet! :D

really can't judge this one too much if it wasn't under warrenty I could probably just open it up and reseat the connections to the screen but not going to void the warrenty doing that. If I shake it a bit it will work lol
