Client out of date will automatically update shortly

I have been receiving this message (Client out of date will automatically update shortly) for the last to weeks on my Lenovo K1 tablet, but it never updates and I'm unable to access the Android Marketplace. It worked fine for the two weeks prior.
Can anyone help me with this?
