Well my father is taking me to a T-Mobile store to check it out tomorrow.
I want to show him that i can use all the features such as email for school work, Web browsing, and all the apps.

What are some key features i should show him to get him hooked?

Not sure what grade your in, Umm... most of the things your gonna wanna show off are in the marketplace, i dont know how hard it would be to show the apps

I guess first id show him the web browsing, and the youtube player, cept id look up educational stuff of course. The maps with google street view for researching capabilities, And maybe the calander, and explain how it links up to your google account so you can be more effecient and monitoring your school and work schedule...

Thats all i can come up with for the moment, the g1 really isnt a educational phone, or a buisness phone, its somewhere inbetween, but its defintally a fun phone... hopefully some of those will help sale the phone for you...

From the UK T-Mobile Online Store, my dad managed to get me double texts on the internet instead of the 200 min/sms Combi 20 plan.

haha my dad is still worried sine my family is on verizon but i want to switch to tmobile. Just me. I told him i can pay for the bill since i work weekends.Now its just a matter if he likes the phone. Wish me luck

You should be alright, just push the "open market" potential for the phone using Android...

Plus all the other great things the phone has to offer, and make sure you find a knowledgeable rep to help you guys out.

Contacts: holds unlimited information on all your contacts (name,number,email,website,etc..)
Calender: schedule work and school, important events, projects, appointments
Ringdroid: you can make ringtones on the go instead of being on the computer and then get distracted and eventually looking at porn
WeatherChannel: keeps you up-to-date on what the weather is so you can dress warm and not get sick and die
Youtube: so you can look up "How-To" videos and learn how to do shiz
Calculator: so you can do math on your phone and whenever your parents call, you are sure to pick up! Also if you get caught by teachers on your phone, just say I was using my calculator! (use at your own risk)
Gmail: cuz Gmail is the future and holds like unlimited mails! Tell him your a busy man.
Alarm Clock: to wake you up on time!
IM: so you can stay social! Nobody wants a loner for a son.
Maps: tell him if you ever get lost, you can tell him where you are. Or if you get kidnapped by a underground bunker serial killer.
Tagg To Do: so you can prioritize what you gotta do first

Lastly if those don't work, just tell him... its a MP4 player... GPS navigator... Internet Browser... Phonebook... Calender... Email... Phone... in one.

i highly doubt any tmobile person is gonna try to push the razor off, they tryin like mad to push the g1..

The deam phone is the g1, and theres another thing you can tell you dad, that google gave all their employees the phone as a christmas bonus.

The monthly on it is gonna run at least 55, but i recommend the unlimited data and messaging... so cheapest at like 65..

my bill is running 75.. and of course thats all before tax...

Iman get the 30$ Min plan which is the lowest and the 25$ data plan which is unlim web and 400 email/text. If i start emailing more ill just call them and ask for an upgrade.

yea i got the 40 dollar myfaves, so it'll be cheaper for you... and trust me, your gonna absoultely end up wanting the unlimited data for 35... theres so many apps that depend on it, and the aim and yahoo that comes on the phone uses mms (txt) for each message sent... the 25 dollar data plan really hinders it, i mean theres ways around it... not with apps though... i just think its well worth the 10 extra dollars... im sure alot of people on here will tell you the same thing

yea.. the price is a lil iffy for some people right now, But ima keep my fingers crossed for ya...

i cant stand verizon, not too big on att, sprint can roll over and die, thats one thing i can say about tmobile, i never have service issues... and customer service has always bent over backwards to make me happy, then again alot of my people got buisness and corporate accounts, but im sure that dont have anything to do with it

If you order after the holidays, then i should only take you 5-7 days im assuming, thats how long it took to get mine before the christmas rush... however i got a white one, which is out of stock now and no clue when it'll be avalible again... black far as i know is good to go....

Where do you live anyway?
You can scan all the signals and set it to another carrier available for roaming.
I do this when i'm in basement. I have like 1 bar t-mobile, so I set it to AT&T because the phone will not roam until t-mobile reception is lost completely.

in the marketplace it lets users leave feedback on the app, and it lists all comments, and everyone thinks for some reason its cool to yell "FIRST" and try to get the first post... even if they are then 400th person to do it... lol
