Or can you keep your existing one?? Just wondering, haven't heard anything as far as this goes.

I am pretty sure there will be certain monthly plan required up there from 49.99 or something for the new customers...

When it comes to us - loyal Tmobile crew :) they cannot make you change your plan once you order the phone... :)

Well that's great to know, i've been with T-Mobile for the past 5 years, got sidekicks 1,2, and 3. Been locked in on the Get More 1500 minute plan forever @ $39.00, i'd be pissed if they said I have to change...

you don't have to change your voice plan at all, just need the data plan. The data plan is just like what adding text messaging to he bill would do, nothing but enhance your phone.

Yup, my voice plan is only 39.99. I usually communicate textually. The only time you'd be forced to change your rate plan is if you're on a non-postpay account and are trying to upgrade so you can preorder it. In that case, you'd have to get off your grandfathered rate codes.

Don't know about the plan exactly, but I think I have 1000 Minutes with MyFaves in a family plan and 400 texts for me. Adds up to about $80 for all three of us, will go up to $100 once the G1 arrives. Which is still very reasonable for three people considering an iPhone plan is $60 for one.

I called a rep to ask about it and was told i would be promted to pick a new plan or just extend my current one. But when I pre-ordered there was no option. I'm assuming I just renewed my current plan.

yeah the only thing mentioned during my checkout experience was the data plan.

And there was a message to the effect of "by accepting this new data plan you agree to drop whatever data plan/text message plan you currently have." which was fine by me.
