retractable usb cable

I will be getting my G1 soon (my ATT contract will be over soon). From what I have been reading and observing charging is an issue. One of my friends with an iphone carries a retractable usb cable in his pocket all the time. Is there a good and small retractable usb cable for G1 that I can carry in my pocket? What other solutions do you guys have for this charging problem?

PS. I also plan to buy a car usb charger. found one for a penny + shipping < $3.

yup...i have like 10 different ones from this old phone or that old camera and they all work in that crazy portal of a htc usb...its the beauty of universal serial busses

dont feel bad, after i ordered one accessory i cant stop ordering more... now im in the market for another case ( already have a black one but theres a slim on that i found online for like 10 bucks )... if i can find the link i will post it..
