full blown pics for contacts

An app that uses pics for the contacts the way it should be. With the pic covering the whole screen. I hate those lil pics that come up when I receive a call.

Yep, been thinking the same thing. They will come... there's like a million programs like that on WinMo, so we should start seeing them hopefully soon.

The whole phone side of the interface needs to be revamped to be more touch ergonomic if you ask me. I hate having to hit menu in the middle of a call to access call prefs, or sliding the on-screen menu button to get the dialer...

yea bigger pics for the contacts in-call AND also having the camera button as a toggle button for SPEAKERPHONE while in call.
ugh speakerphone button is my biggest issue with the in-call usability and the bigger pics thing is not so much haha.

A bigger pic would also probably mean that you need to store bigger images (takes up more space) or you would get more pixelation on the image. Either way, it's going to be bad, and users would complain, unless everyone signs a disclaimer not to complain, or get b****slapped by other forumers if they do :)

I would like the option of turing screen lock off during calls.
Bigger pics would be pretty nice too.
Needs more setting options so you can set everythig up YOUR OWN way

i never understood every phone with pic contacts didn't use th whole screen. It makes no sense to me. i was so happy the iphone did that when i got it. i always had to buy apps that did it on my other smart phones. i am surprised the g1 doesn't do it out the box. this should come in an update and not an app so that its native.

the bigger pics would only take up more space if you save and leave the pics on your phone or sd card BUT i found out that the pics in the contacts are also synced within your gmail account along with the email. how? cuz i saved a few pics for contacts then decided factory reset and format my sd card. then i setup my gmail again then i saw the pic i saved for the contacts still there but no pic saved on the phone or sd card.

Yea I wondered whos idea was it to have the tiny in-call pics as well hopefully someone will free us from. the boring design of this phones UI.
