The Picture app that it comes with is great, but it could use a couple of improvements.

1. It would be nice to navigate pictures via touch screen dragging to go to the next/previous image instead of using the left/right arrows buttons on the screen. This would be much like the iphone picture browsing.

2. It would also be good if the app could use the accelerometer to sense the phone orientation and automatically adjust the image.

I'm currently in the process of learning about the android app development, but I'm in the very early stages. This would be the first app I work on publishing, but if someone beats me to it that would be perfectly fine! :)

Were not tryin to become an iPhone and I personally like the arrows more than dragging.

But the orientation idea I do like. I would find that incredibly helpful.

of course not! :) I know we're not trying to become like iPhone. But I think it would be nice to at least have as an option how you want to navigate since it is preferred by at least some people, and so many other apps have drag scroll including the android homescreen itself.. contacts list.. etc. it is a pretty intuitive way to browse.
