Alright so I got my G1 (yay) and popped the SIM card in and activated my data plan through customer care last night. Unfortunately I forgot that it may take up to 48 hours to do this! So now I have my G1 just sitting there waiting to be used. So I have a few questions.

1) What APN am I supposed to be using? I think I'm using the T-mobile US one.

2) When I go online and click on "change services" it says I need to add a G1 data plan at the top still. So is it possible CC didn't activate it? And should I activate it again online through my account? Would I get double charged if I do this?

Thanks for any help guys, sorry I'm impatient I just can't wait to use it!

I would call TMo, confirm with them everything is setup. Then, just wait.

Will hurt hurt to try to activate online though? How long does it usually take to activate?

Wait for your 24/48 hours to be up, if that doesn't work call T-Mo

I would just use the online tool to enable it. I was able to enable and disable my G1 data plan and changes took effect immediately.

It's a bug in my.t-mobile.com. I get it all the time.
Anyway, if you want to remove G1 plan, set your phone to a regular phone (like RARZ) then submit the change again in "Change services". It will remove G1 data plan for you.
