Just this morning I was getting 3G coverage popping up while downtown KC. It must be close to arriving.

We got 3G coverage sometime late Thurs/early Friday...it's pretty dope! You should have it solid and not popping in and out. I've been all the way out in Leawood and as far north as the airport and never lose my signal. Btw, live on the plaza. Not sure if you're in a big building downtown but that might affect your reception if you're surrounded by big concrete walls.

T-Mobile flipped the 3G switch at midnight Thursday night. Seems to be coverage around most of town which is good 'cause KC is a large area to cover. I live just east of the Plaza, but I'm all over town and so far I've usually had a signal.

I bet the Plaza is gorgeous this time of the year! Yeah, the Plaza lights an' all look terrific as usual. The tradition lives on...

If you get a craving for BBQ and expect the ultimate best --- try out Oklahoma Joe's Barbeque (http://kansascity.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=kansascity&cdn=citiestowns&tm=5&f=00&su=p554.12.336.ip_&tt=3&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http%3A//www.oklahomajoesbbq.com/). Yes it's in a gas station!Been there, done that. Agreed, it's Really Good Stuff - the beans kill. Just one of many great BBQ joints in KC. Bryant's, Gates, RJ's, Smokin' Guns, Fiorella's Jack Stack, etc. etc. etc. Literally dozens of good-to-great BBQ joints here. Note that Famous Dave's and Smokehouse BBQ of course, are here, but NOT among them. Friggin' chain operations...the McDonald's and Burger King of BBQ. Don't get me started...

Too bad, but seems most of the country doesn't realize KC is at the very center of the BBQ universe. A veritable BBQ Mecca.
