I'm cool with it. I'd rather err on the side of zealousness and lax. The OP is welcome to leave if he feels that this is a fascist way of managing things, no need to stir up dissent towards a bunch of guys who have done nothing but good things for the Android community.

Hahah you guys are right on top of things.... I'm just trying to get some good discussion here...Some times comments regarding a sensitive topic like fascism is a good way to get a discussion started.... Maybe I should have been more objective?

I'd rather they take steps to separate wheat from chaff, get rid of useless ramblers and maintain a constructive and rational community spirit. It's their forum, people should stop acting like democracy applies throughout the world and start respecting house rules. My house, my rules. Don't like it, push off, no one's putting a gun to your head to make you stay. :)

For the record, I never threatened to leave...Hahaha the insanity that occurred last night in the threads concerning this issue were a lot of fun and has made me realize how much i actually like the AC and want to stay here...

Yeah, that was a little over the top. And I think Vincent's response was a little harsh as well. However, he obviously cares a great deal for this forum, it's his baby. And having people insult it caused a gut reaction. Can't say I would've reacted differently, but I might've chosen some better words.

By the way, this is in the wrong forum. Moving to off-topics.

He was direct, and he put his foot down on BS and attitudes that weren't helpful at all. I respect that in a person, over someone who's all pretty words and fluff.

Tact is never a bad thing when you're running a community like this. People tend to shy away when they feel like an admin is being a dictator. (whether he really is or not)

well since this isnt the only site i check for android news.... although i must add this is the first and most frequent.... but if i read something on here, i immmediately make a new tab and check my other sources.... usually tmonews and phandroid.... and just like in the case of the G2 i read on that site it was a rumor..

but thats not AC's, **** what the **** would we do without their expertise and the time they spend serving our hungry-for-updates stomachs..... im sure as soon as they heard the news just like every other site that posted something regarding a G2, wanted to get the news out as quickly as possible to please their visitors.... **** not like anyones perfect

AC All day, no im not a moderator...but damn fascism really? if they didnt give a **** about u they wouldnt update this site 3-5 times daily, on a good day... other sites still talking about the white G1 dropping...WTF

I am thankful for the discussion and help I have gotten here in the AC I come everyday to check it out. But not until yesterday did I feel that I should get involved with a discussion. Just thought that a community operates by listening to the concerns of other members of the community. A good community cannot stay good without fruitful discussion...give and take...
