So, I am about to release my custom g1 them I've been working on, If you don't know what I'm talking about check it out here: http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f28/custom-skin-9351/ and go to the last page and look at the transparent notification menu.

One of the things I'm going to do is to replace the default wallpapers with some other ones. So, if you are going to download and install this theme when I release it, what stock wallpapers do you want to see?

How will it be installed? Just download an apk? Will we need root?

Stericson, is there going to be a way to choose color palette for the theme, like controlling variables in a script, or is your work much more involved that our ability to fiddle?

However, it certainly isn't required or expected.

As for how this will be installed, it will require root. I have no control over this. I am editing system files to do this skinning and without root you can't do that. Initially you will have to push a few files on your phone and perform a wipe, after which the them will be installed. But eventually, I will be posting an update.zip file that will do this all for you simply by putting it on your sdcard and updating the same way you did with jesusfreke modded rc30.

I am sorry that this requires root, but like I said, there's nothing I can do.

Yep taken on the un-bricked phone! And no you won't be able to control the them with color palletes of any style. In order to do this I had to edit every image by hand. Google did not make it easy to do this, to say the least.
