I have Googled different subjects trying to locate a way to fix an issue with my CHEAP Kyocera "Zio" un-rooted phone, to no avail. I have quite a few contacts (like I'm sure everyone does) as I have been using the same gMail account since back when you still had to be invited in. However now that I am using an Android after using both a Windows and also several Blackberry phones. I have gotten a little anal in the fact that I like to put a photo to every contact (if possible), to see who is calling. Now the contacts "look" nice in both the stock contacts application as well as the pro version of DW Contacts. However, when I call OR receive a call about 95% of the time I am presented with another contact's picture instead of the contact's actual photo.
Now the kicker! I have had this phone replaced three times. I have also reset the phone to factory formats numerous times.
This last time I decided to delete EVERY contact on my gmail.com account and begin fresh with only a couple of my primary contacts to see if this would fix the issue.
It did not! My wife called after putting about fifteen contacts into my contacts (she had a picture in place) and oddly enough my younger brother's picture showed up during our conversation instead of hers.
When I did this last step I decided to do it on a clean phone after formatting. I then made certain that ALL contacts were deleted. Once this was done I then started putting the contacts into my gMail account online. Then I turned on the sync setting on the phone and from the phone added the pictures.
When it was clear it did not work I logged back in to the online gMail account and just reset the contacts to before the deletion.
So now I am at wits end, does ANYONE have an idea of what I could have possibly done wrong? A setting in my gMail account possibly??? End user error???
I mean my wife has the same exact phone and does NOT have any of these issues.
Please help if possible.
