best direct dvd to g1 software

Anyone experience a (preferably free) ONE STEP dvd to g1 video format converter? I searched for it cause I thought I saw this somewhere, but couldn't find the solution. And plus, I'm on my g1 now :)

nah man just put it on ya computer and then use a converter...I use "free zune video converter"

I like handbrake--then use the iphone/ipod touch setting. It rips and encodes perfectly in one step.

WHat he said. I use DVD Fab (DVD Decrypter HD to decrypt) and then handbrake to encode to Mv4 (the iphone setting)

This setting is quite good and is watchable on my daughters XBMC using a standard def TV.

If you're still looking just do a look around iphone forums and see what they use. the format is the same.

hmm, i know what software you refered about, and i indeed find a free gphone (g1) video converter (http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/video-to-gphone.html#165), which can convert video to g1 support format such as wmv, 3gp etc.

Also a dvd to G1 converter (http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-to-gphone.html#165), which can rip dvd to g1 support format. but this one is not free.

The T-Mobile G1 is my favorite which was a bulky phone only a software programmer could love. OK, I exaggerate. T-Mobile sold more than a million of the handsets, the first to sport Google's Android operating system.
