So today, i plugged in my car's aux cable to hear some tunes and sound was coming out of only one side of the car's speakers. So wiggling the cable I realized it would work, I just didn't know which one was malfunctioning my aux cable or the G1 adapter. So after I got off I tested it with a pair of headphones, and it was the HTC supplied adapter.. It really bugged me, it would work when I would hold and wiggle it but it stopped working when I let go.. After 5 mins the cable stopped working completely.. I was truly annoyed and chucked it in the trash.. The cable itself just seems so cheap, no quality whatsoever.. It's really sad that HTC would give us crap.. I really don't know if I'm entitled to a new one, I really don't want that particular cable yet again.. Has anyone had issues with the HTC provided adapter? What after market adapter has worked well for some of you?

Bring the adapter to t-mobile store, they will exchange for you if they have any returned G1s. I got 2 because when they replaced my G1, the rep wouldn't care to take it back.
I bought this adapter for my Dash, still works great with the G1. Look for it on ebay.

I use the shorter one with my headphone, the stock adapter is WAY too long. WTH are people at HTC thinking? Why don't they make it like the iPhone's headphone?

Would you pay $20 for the adapter if it's grade A and made in America?:D

Ugh @ The iPhone comparison
And Yes, The HTC adapter & headphone cords together are quite ridiculous in length...
Even for someone that's 6ft7, such as myself.

I think the only reason they made it that long was so the built in mic on the adapter could be closer to your mouth.
