I think it looks like a photoshopped Touch HD with buttons on it and a big TouchFlo cube. But it'd be sweet if they actually did that.

Honestly I don't see t-mobile investing in another android powered phone until at least 4th quarter.. Even if they release something lacking like the G1 is in style, they stick by it.

I mean come on, they still swear by the Dash and the Wing...

Nice looking phone. I would take two cups and a length of yarn over this bull**** G1 hardware.

If' I wasn't so in love with the OS, I would have ditched this long ago for one of the old Nokia's from the 90's with the snap on face plates.

The tilt screen seems impractical and would probably be too fragile, especially with the anchoring mechanism on only one side.

I like the trackball (although I wish the current one was more solid/better fitted like the BB Pearl), so would hate to see that go away.

Take away those two changes and I guess it looks pretty much like it does now, but with a smaller and more level chin, which is my main issue with it.

Add the stereo headphone jack, show the virtual keyboard and I think you will have it.

Man, the battery sucks and the dual touch is kinda sucky.

I wish it would sync with iTunes better and be more like an iPhone, but I think I figured out a way to hack it so I can use it on AT&T.

This G2 sux.

i like it...bigger screen...updated home screen...screen tranistions...video call camera...arc slider(like at&t tilt or sony x1)...i think this is the best "G2" mock up i have seen...i would totally hit that

Mine has the option for talking GPS but I don't have that many C batteries for my Speak N Spell.

I'm waiting for the HTC FRTLOBOTMY so I can stop thinking entirely.

Dude! The Nokia Classic 5100 series is still where I come back to mentally everytime I pick up a POS phone.. I had 2 over many years and they never glitched, and were practically indestructible, even to water.

The G1's hardware probs suck.. If there wasn't issues with the actual assembly, and it worked perfectly (hinges, squeaks, trackball, looseness of panels and screen) then I would love it.. I have actually grown pretty fond of the look.

The software... sometimes I get the chills because it can be so cool.. love the new tweak mods that came out last night..

If this G2 became real, I would buy it. If someone can get the Touch HD Diamond working on tmob with Android, I'll buy it.

lol it looks nice but i highly doubt they will release a successor to the g1 after just a month but then again thats how 2nd gen iphone started, after a month of the 1st gen iphone they had rumors bout the 2nd gen.

Problem with putting Android on the N97 is the resistive touch screen. I honestly don't think that Android would be as nice to use with a resistive screen. All of the scrolling, swiping, and other gestures become muddled on those screens.

If the past two years have been any real indication of how HTC operates, they most likely will be announcing the G2 or another Android powered handset in May (just like they announced the Touch and Touch Diamond). Innitial rumors and pics of those phones were leaked about 60 days before their press release so I'm sure we will be seeing something real coming down the pipeline by mid March.
