Help! RC30 to RC29

ok. I am probably one of the last few people who received an OTA update. Finally my RC19 was updated to RC30.

Unfortunately, last weekend my touchscreen just stopped working. Called tmo and after doing tests and wipe-outs and such, they also could not figure out what is wrong with it. They sent me a replacement 2 days after (and oh by the way the rep told me shipping was free only to find out that now I owe them money for shipping--and since there were no notes about the courtesy shipping I can't prove that I was indeed told shipping was free)-- I received a new handset with an RC29.

Now I just want to know if you guys think I will receive another RC30 update? I'm thinking since they already sent the OTA update to my phone, they will not resend it again?

Any ideas or inputs? Appreciate it!

I don't see why not. But if you like root access, you should do something quick =p

When i got my replacement, it also came with rc-29. The OTA came 4 days later, even though my old phone has already updated. So give it a few days and it will automatically update to RC-30

yes it will get rc30, updates are sent via the IMEI number and you new phone will have a diff number

As for the free shipping thing, i cant remember the last time i was charged for tmobile sending me a replacement phone for a phone that was still under warranty and had malfunctioned. They should eat the shipping to and from you.

As for the RC30 update i think you will be notified again sometime soon for the update. If not you can just do the update yourself manually. Its really not that hard.

Called tmo 5x...2 reps said that it should be deleted from my account and I just have to wait and the other 3 reps sounded like I was trying to rip them off hahahha

*sigh* oh, well!

we'll see what happens next billing.

I want to, I'm just scared I'll do something stupid to a really simple instruction hahahahaha! My husband usually does these techy stuff for me.

Well, I'd just wait for it then. But if you're impatient you can always go the manual route (http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=OTA_Updates), but I can't tell you how well it works because I've never tried it personally.
