Lemme get this straight. You're playing Halo on your G1, you have music on your XBox360, and you want your G1 to play music off your XBox360 while simultaneously running Halo?

Why not just play music on your G1 and Halo on your XBox360? There's no need to connect anything :D

Microsoft would have to have drivers to detect that a G1 is connected. I really doubt Microsoft would do that. It took awhile till Microsoft caved in and gave an update for the iPod to be connected :D

Shouldn't the xbox 360 detect the SD card in the G1. I don't have a 360 but doesn't the SD card appear anywhere on the dashboard?

the g1 should work as a mass storage device. make sure you "mount" it once you plug it in and see if that works.

I know this isn't the answer to your question, but it's on the same topic.

Is your xbox on the same network as your PC? Is all your music on your PC? If so, you should set your xbox up to stream your media from your PC. Then, you'd have everything, music & video, ready to play on the xbox whenver you'd like.

I wouldn't be able to play CoD5 efficiently if I couldn't stream my Ben Folds at the same time :).

very well said. I ran network cable under my house last month and stopped using Wifi on my 360 and ps3. Now everything streams the way its supposed to.

Its easier than tying your shoes. Plug it into your PC and copy the songs there. Then look up the rest on xbox.com
If this is too hard for you then maybe you shoulda got a razor or something. Lol im joking about the razor. ;)

For me, for some reason, I had to go into my sd managment on my G1 and unmount the card before my PC regognized it.

To clarify, the 360 recognized USB Drives and USB External HDDs with ease. It lets you play music/movies off of them.

You can do the same with the G1, just have to make sure you mount it. Quite convenient.
