any way to up the volume during calls??

So I just got my G1 friday and absolutely love it, except one issue....everyone that calls me or I call says that it sounds like i am talkin far away from the phone when im actually holding it right by my mouth and when i was yelling then the person said they could hear me better lol...is there a volume control for this? or did i possibly get a defective g1?? or is this a all around problem for this phone?

Have you tried the volume rocker on the side? I'm guessing that you have, and that wouldn't fix how the other person is hearing you. Does this happen on all phone calls? If so then you probably have a defective unit.

ive only made a few phone calls but yes it has happened on all of them....GREAT a defective unit...wonder how much that would run me to get fixed

assuming you actually do have an issue, then this would cost you nothing to get resolved.

assuming i do have a problem and since I bought it off of ebay i was assuming that i would be responsible to fix this issue...if it actually does need some technical work done
