So I am currently stuck with a decision that happened today. I am with a Blackberry curve and lost it this morning walking to my car and could not find it.

I have insurance on it and they said it will be $130 to replace it. But this is where I need help. I ordered my G1 a week ago and it should be coming in the next few weeks.

I wanted to have my BB as a back up because I have no other phone right now. I feel like I'm losing out of $400 because that is how much the Curve is or just losing out $130 if I do get the replacement.

Should I just wait for my G1 and not get my replacement phone for 130 or should I just get the replacement because I feel like I am losing out.

Also I will be out of a phone until I get my G1 which sucks.

Thanks

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just hold out and wait for your G1.

if you need a back up phone..just buy some piece of crap off ebay for less than that...it's never a bad idea to have a back up phone...every phone I've ever used I still have as a back up phone...a dumbass sidekick ID and my RAZR lol

not to be a total bag of doosh, but how did you loose your phone walking to your car. ive heard of ninjas before but damn..

anyway, my opinion is get the replacement, then wait for your g1. then sell the bb and get a cheaper phone as a backup.
2 reasons, well 3 if you count my opinion.

1. Profit, sell your brand new bb for 300 bucks, u would still be up 170 at that point. and a cheaper phone will still be a backup.
2. Cheaper phone wont be all that bad in the event the same ninja pulls one on you again. and once you get your g1 you will notice that you wont let it out of your hands.
3. BB's suck. i just dont like them though. <--- my .02

But thats what i would do. Good luck
