Any way to use the phone while plugged into car stereo.

At the moment I listen to music through a tape adapter and a usb to 3.5mm converter connected to my G1. When someone calls, I can hear them great on the stereo but they can't hear me even on speakerphone. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know if you got the adapter that came with the newer phones but it has a mic on it for calls while using the headphone. Mine works fine that way. If you did not get this with yours then look on ebay they are about $10.

Also, newer phones tend to filter out background noise, mostly through muting or excluding the microphone input. It's possible that your car stereo is making the mic mute so radically (because the car stereo speakers are so much louder than the phone's speaker) muted that your voice is being excluded. Also, the car's interior is going to muffle you voice at any significant distance from the microphone.
