Kinda knew this when I updated but now it's really annoying me. No longer see the option to have this thing being recognized as a USB device on computer anymore and thus I don't get anything when pluggin in computer. In windows it shows up as a empty removable drive that'll prompt ya to "Insert disk in drive" when ya try opening while Linux it won't even mount. Fortunately I have a handy card adapter that'll allow me to throw stuff in, but it's a hassle seeing how easily accessible USB storage on machine is hard to get at and just makes things annoying and complicated.

So WTF did the powers that be who slapped together this firmware killed this option? Seriously I'm over here waiting for more functinality and they instead kill part of the usefulness of it instead?!? WTF?!!

Doesn't it pop a notification up on the phone when you connect it to USB?

You should complain over at the T-mobile support forums and see if they can add that option back if that doesn't work.

Yes, a notification comes up giving you the option to mount the device. I geuss Google got enough complaints from users in Enterprise environments who keep getting prompted for admin credentials everytime they plug in their G1s for charging in the office.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

Heh thanks yall, yea they did change it to the USB notification... which is actually more convenient. Just would've been nice if my common sense hinted me at Google pulling a switch-er-ooo -____-

Now if you don't mind I'll continue bashing my head against the spiked wall for this absent minded post :o

for me everything works as it should till I try to open the drive and it tells me *unable to open due to i/o device error*, yet it was working fine a few days ago, if I were to remove the card itself and plug it into the comp it works fine. it comes and goes, any ideas?
