using tmo hotspot on laptop

So it appears that the g1 comes preconfigured to use tmo hotspots for free. Is there any way to take advantage of this on a laptop? I mean without tethering - by somehow extracting the credentials from wherever they are preset in the g1.

Look under the billing for tmo hotspots. 29.99 gets you internet for a laptop - but for 3-5 dollars you get wifi access via your portable. My guess would be theres no way around it.
