I want to return my G1

So I know my back cover on the G1 is creaking and It is annoying me, I think some of the little tabs might have broken the first time I opened it. I wanted to call T-mobile and see if I can get a new back cover or phone, Anyone know if they would do anything like this?
I know many complain about the creaking, has t-mobile done anything about this??

just curious though, if you breaking the tabs while taking off the phone may of caused it, how would that be there fault. I mean it is a delicate piece of technology, not a hammer or wrench that you can throw around?

I'm not 100% positive it was me, but anyway I wasn't throwing a wrench at it, I was being actually pretty careful, I've never broken any other cell phone cover before, I just think it's a bad design really.

I also want to complain about my battery life for a while and see what they say.

fair enough. the back wasn't the easiest thing to get off.
they probably should of left it off originally until everyone had the sim card and battery in place.

good luck with battery issues. Maybe you'll get a free car charger out of it or something.

Where can I buy a back cover? They didn't want to do anything, she said I had to call within 14 days. I guess rules are rules.

the design of the back cover sucks royally. anyone who says otherwise would settle for anything. the thing feels like it's going to crack in half no matter how careful you are.

I just read your post in the "well it's official the g1 is dead" thread, and I agree with most all of what you said.

I originally had battery issues, and for whatever reason they are drastically better (and no I haven't really changed any settings since then and haven't really slowed my usuage so lucky me I guess) and I realize that other people are having the issues and I hope it gets resolved or improved. and soon.

However the back cover does not on my phone suck royally. Its on tight and snug, there is no space between it and the battery and it feels like one cohesive unit. So me telling you otherwise is not settling but rather speaking the truth. But then I've had no problem with any creaking and my phone seems very solid indeed.
