Called up a coupled places and found one selling it today! Just made it into work, so excited and can't wait to get it charged up so I can play with it. Evil work taking up my time.

But I got it at one of the tmobile kiosks.. I thought T-mobile always had a real shop but at this mall it doesn't. Lady was real nice, I think they weren't supposed to sell em today but she said she didn't see a notice bout that. My luck!

looks ok...i ordered my white G1...but i think i might swap it out for a black one because i wasnt aware of the silver back. The silver back throws the whole thing off IMO

Nice pics, looks like the screen is still a bit crooked when open, I'm guessing all G1 are like that.

Looks sweet, but it's too bad the back isn't white as well.

Also, I'm wondering if the keyboard is the same one that comes on the Bronze/Brown G1. I originally purchased the Brown G1, I think it looks nicer then the black, but after using it for a few days, the keyboard drove me nuts in low light... when the backlighting would come on, in low light, the lettering on the keys would virtually disappear, making typing impossible.

Looks interesting. It looks too much like plastic to me.

What's interesting is that HTC/T-Mobile didn't bother to look at the problems with the hinges since the screen on that phone is tilted down like the rest :(.

I love it. I need to figure out how to get this invisible shield on it tho. The back already has oily looking spots on it. I'm just afraid to do it myself, maybe best buy will do it or something. The keyboard is supposedly the same color as the bronze, I never really looked at that one so didnt compare em.

It is difficult to see the letters when the light is on. But if you know how to type do ya really need to see it for the most part? Only prob I have so far is the symbols and numbers at the top, I've only had the T9's before with this being my first smart phone and qwerty keyboard on a phone.

Oh and the cover of it is nice, more shiny.. which is the reason I didn't get the black one, was way too dull for me.

Just gotta figure out all I can do with this thing now LOL. Got the contacts set up mostly. DL'd some programs... just dunno where to start!

I dont think its going to look quite "hideous"...I mean they have pictures of it on the phone on the website, and it looks pretty good to me. I've seen pics from all angles...

Oh well best buy said they don't install the invisible shields. Guess I gotta tough it out and figure it out on my own.

mines finally arrived i love it , people really need to see it in person to decide. to me it looks way better in person then pics. now the hunt on ebay for a white battery cover begins!!!! either way its ten times better then my dull looking black one
