Every time I'm surfing the web my g1 won't ring my calls will go to the voice mail any body else has this problem ?

if you are on edge it can't do both at the same time. Has to be on 3g to handle that.

yes most likely you are on edge.

Data and Voice network dont work simultaneously... Try using wifi, it should accomodate one, if can...

lol... Was in a rush.

Ok, If wifi can accomodate one (Voice or Data), then EDGE should accomodate the other.

So, If can, CAN... if no can, NO CAN (Sorry, Hawaiian Pidgin)

Data and Voice network dont work simultaneously... Try using wifi, it should accomodate one, if can...

Umm, that has nothing to do with the edge network, that has to do with the phone....

you can surf the web on a sidekick and when a call comes in , the phone rings and puts everything else on hold till you hang up...

Ok... that phone is on WiFi (Just like DK was saying). The OP is on EDGE.

you can surf the web on a sidekick and when a call comes in , the phone rings and puts everything else on hold till you hang up...

If a call comes in the exact same time that data is transferring from the phone, there is a chance the call will bounce to V-Mail. My blackberry, MDA, & SKII did it all the time.

ive never once had that issue, nor any of the people i know that use a sidekick.. i cant speak for a blackberry or mda.
