Ok well I recently got my 4th T-Mobile g1 replacement...1st 2 had dust under the screen and the third one had a dead pixel..

Now I've come up with a few issues of my new g1..tell me if it's normal or I got some hardware issues...

First of all the right side of the phone screen/slide out piece...when I press on it kind of goes down...like the bottom right of the sliding part of the phone goes down?? Normal or not?

Now the backlight of the keyboard, it seems as if some of my keys lights are brighter than others like some what noticeably brighter...Is all the keys supposed to have like equal brightness of backlight for them? Because my 2 3 4 5 6 keys have brighter light than the rest...

Help Please!!!

I'm getting sick of the damn phone already...great phone but I just seem to get all the defective ones...might get the behold now.

It sounds to me like you look for problems. ;)

I kid, I kid. The keyboard backlighting is not going to be even among all keys. That would require a little diode for each and every letter. Not gonna happen.

As for the screen "give", this is known on G1s, and is unfortunately just a side effect of the screen mechanism. That's physics for ya. Push on something, it gives a little bit.

I think it is normal, cause when I first got my replacement phone for the dead pixel on my old one, it didn't start having sounds at first then it started to happen, I think the piece(its white, you can see it under the keyboard between the screen) under the screen is getting wear out when you press the touchscreen, for my phone I just put a piece of Bodyguardz on it, you can see a imprint on the piece of Bodyguardz in my photo where the thing is under the screen.

Just wondering the screen give when you press on it do you get a kind of clicking sound?...

Thanks in advance.

Is the sound when the screen is closed. If so, it's a known issue. Do a search for "creaking" and a mess of topics show up.
