Best way to root!?

I am going to root my phone and i am a bit scared. can anyone tell me whats the best way to root the phone? to go by manually or by installing an app? :confused:

Well, rooting is always a risky job just like iOS jailbreaking and would spoil the whole fun if done in the wrong way. Anyway, I too would recommend you to go for superoneclick on the PC. Make sure that you have already downloaded the respective drivers from Google.

I would suggest downloading the Android SDK and using command prompt commands like fastboot oem unlock and rooting it from there. Less chance of bricking your phone that way. Lots of info on how to do this for your device on the xda forums. (http://www.xda-developers.com)
