Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been posted already - I did a search for PUK and had no luck. The other day, I entered my pin number wrong three times for my sim card. I got a message on screen saying that the sim card is locked, call operator customer services. I called T-Mobile and the rep on the other end gave me my PUK code. Whilst I was still on the line to him, I tried to find an option on the phone to enter this code so I could unlock my sim card...but there isn't an option. Only an emergency dial option. The guy told me to go to the emergency dial option and to try and enter it there...no luck, you can only dial the emergency number. We spent about 20 mins trying...couldn't get it to work. He told me that someone else he'd dealt with had experienced the same problem. Surely Google should have thought about something like this...?
Anyway, I had to borrow a colleague's phone for a second, put my sim in and use the code to unlock it. Put it back in the G1 and everything was fine.
Anyone else come across this problem...know of a workaround without having to use a different phone to unlock the sim card?
