cant send pictures from sd card?

i was trying to send a pic from my primary gmail acct i set up with my g1,n i noticed i can only sen pic taken from the camera?why is that?this is also for sending pic messages..isthere a way that one can send emails n pic messages saved on an sd card?sorry if i posted in the wrong placas im writting from my ps3,searched n found nothing,thanks in advance

That's pretty odd, i can send pics via email and mms from my sd card without issue... do you have the pictures in a folder?

Yes I have them on a folder.is that why maybe I can't send them?if so where would I place the pics so that the phone can read it so that I would be able to send pics from my mem card.also in what directory in the sd card would they have to be in so that I would be able to send pics from my email and pic messages?

Actually I have all of my pics (except wallpapers) in the "DCIM" folder on the G1, categorized by folders, and I can still send them without issue... except for the .gif's that is.

i also have them in the dcim folder,but its not capitalized,its in lower case letters,the dcim that is.and then i have the pics in categorized folders.like My Pictures,Kids and etc,for example.but im still not able to send pics from mt sd card.i try to attach a pic but only the ones on the camera only appeared.this is not right.what can be done?how can this be fixed or what may be the problem?

Haven't tried sending any via attaching them, but you can send images by going into the Pictures app, long press on the image you want to send, select the menu item "Share" then select the method (Gmail or MMS).

Nevermind,it was a glitch I guess,I turned off the phone and turned th it back on and the pics from my sd card appeared
