T-mobile is just STARTING with Major cities for 3G for now, but will eventually expand I'm sure.

Its been mentioned before, but they promise unlimited data regardless of what speed you get that data at.

They also stated during the announcements on Sep 23rd that only a certian amount of cities would have 3G already available during the launch of the phones.

The data rate plans as of now are staying the same cost, regardless if they're bringing you 3g with a Sony Ericsson TM506, (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Sony-Ericsson-TM506-Amber)Nokia 6263, (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Nokia-6263)Nokia 3555, (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Nokia-3555)Samsung t819, or (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-t819)Samsung t639 (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-t639)or standard data with a Blackberry.

Are GPRS area customers suing over not having edge, or do they have any ground to base it on? Precisly, No. For comparison, AT&T doesn't and will not provide 3g in every coverage area either. They are data rate plans with the possibility of 3g, not 3g plans.

(http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-t639)Regardless of 3g capability there will be a 25$ or 35$ dollar data + text/pic/video message plan attached and you are made aware of this as well as current and proposed 3g availability. America is to spread out to efficiently provide 3g and in not to long a time Wi-Max (4g) to everyone. Would you rather pay 60$ to 100$ for your data plan?
