How long should I wait to use my G1?
I just got mine and im sooo anxious to use it, but I know you're "supposed," to let phones fully charge before use.
Should I do this, or can I use it now now now? :)
also is there anything I should be looking out for?
OTA updates anything?
Thanks in advance!

I started using mine as soon I got out the store, let the battery drain then recharged it overnight... no problems.

That's what I did with my new battery (got Tmo to send me a replacement with a replacement phone). Ran it till the phone forced the phone to shut down, then recharged it off the wall to 100%. It's good to make a rechargeable dry-cell battery "stretch" before you start to use. This new one will sit off the charger overnight in sleep mode (but on) and in the morning, the charge indicator reads 99%! That's better than my Curve, and the Curve battery was pretty good for that sized LCD display.
I did what Tmo recommends with my first G1 battery -- i.e., charged it to 100% out of the box, and the result whas terrible!

Sweet!
I called Tmobile and was complaining about my horrible battery life. I told them i was only getting like 2-3 hours with mild usage of the phone and they are sending me a new battery, free of charge, no shipping costs, and best of all...I dont even have to send back the old battery! So i can keep that one in my book bag and just swap em out if it dies. That certainly destroys a 50 dollar problem for me. Tmobile customer service is by far the best i have EVER dealt with.

You hit the menu button where you're in the contacts menu and that will bring up Sim options, including mass-importing them. Happy G1-ing!
Don't forget to try Orb it kicks ass!
