is it possible to overcharge the battery?

My normal routine is charging the battery overnight. I have noticed it only takes 1.5 hrs to achieve a full charge. Does charging it for longer diminish battery life? Also does charging it when the battery is. Not low diminish battery life?

No. I charge mine All The Time because you never know when you may have to go a long spell without having access to a charger. Modern batteries don't suffer from "memory" effects, or overcharging.

I was also wondering this. With my BB Pearl, I would leave it charging all night. I hope its the same with the G1

i do this all the time and i seem to have no problems with the battery, infact after the rc30 upgrade my battery with regular use lasts almost two days. (i now charge every other night. but i never charge it unless its under 15% battery left.)

my battery still sucks..even with RC30 update >_< wack
