Hey everyone, I've recently been having some trouble with attempting to transfer files via USB between my G1 and my laptop. Whenever I connect my G1 to my laptop and attempt to view the memory card and files on my laptop I get this error:
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w191/koejak/g1problem.jpg

I checked the user manual and it said I need to check the 'Use for USB storage box' on the 'SD card and phone storage' on the settings menu but I don't have the option anymore (the box doesn't show up). I remember it being there before, and I've also been able to transfer files via USB to my laptop without any hassle before, but for some reason it's not working now.

Things I've tried that have not worked:

Using a different microSD card (2gb and 4gb)
Uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers
Restoring my G1 to factory settings

Could anyone shed some light on this? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks :)

When you plug it in, do you get a notification for the USB? If you open the notification it ask if you want to mount or unmount it, press mount.

Just to be clear the notification is on the G1, not the PC. You need to select "mount" to see the G1's SD card on the PC/Mac.

I didn't notice the notification before, I found it and pressed mount and it's working again. Thanks alot. :)

I did the same thing the other day when I was connecting it for the first time to my PC. I was so mad, but I figured it out and was like... :D:cool::eek:
