Background Screen **Possible?** Capabilities

So I got a question.... what about modding the android UI? I know there is hype about applications...**** I kno I'm hype.... but when will or if at all will there bemods to android itself...
For instance, we all know the iphone has multiple left&right screens on the UI, will we be able to increase our limit? Or even go as far to have custom backgrounds, BUT on a modded UI that scrolls up and down and left and right? Just brainstorming.....

Anyone else have any UI or modded hopes, dreams, or possibilities?
Figured if we think out loud, maybe someone might get it done...

3 is a good number but i'd like to see more possabilities with this. Maybe even adding more widgits would be cool.

I agree that we need to have multiple desktops.. i like to categorize my apps and i am not to fond of the whole folder thing... i think it would be a good look if you can set one big background aswell..

Probably wouldn't be able to go down from the main screen because that's where the arrow button thing is.

I would like it if the screen wrapped so that if you were on the right screen, you could go to the right again and end up on the left screen.

Yeah well they got to come up with a way to transfer apps from the phone itself to SD card that would take care of the ph memory problem. If this phone lives up 2 all the hype they talked about before it came out about open plat form and the possibilities we should definitely see some awesome apps for G1. I personally want new themes not like iphone but better I want iphone owners to catch beef. Another thing I ve been thinking about is to have a screen keyboard. I know there is one available write now but the keys are too small. How raw would it be if you just turned your phone sideways and a keyboard would pop up or at least have the option. Another thing I would like is being able to see videos on 3g the same quality as Wi Fi. Huge diffrence. Ok i gotta breath now lol....

Having three is ok but personally i think we should be able to customize our g1s the way we want. so if u want more, let us have it. i actually just want the whole turn the phone and your screen follows the orientation. a total rip off the iphone but its hot. Another mod to android that should be done is a built in virtual keyboard.
