View Full Version : Problems downloading apps? I am a NOOB

hey there guys,

I finally got my G1 up and running!!! :)

but now I got issues with it.. I started downloading apps from the android market using a wifi connect I have in my house. It worked last night, but when I tried dowloading 2 things at once today.. it was stuck at downloading. So I just cancelled the download.

Now I can't FULLY download anything.. it's STUCK AT "downloading"

:( please help

Turn off wifi and your problem will be solved within 10 minutes.

Strange, isn't it?

really? I have had it off all day though.. :S

this is certainly weird but i'll give it a shot.

I can be on wifi and I click a bunch of apps to d-load, it doesnt download... disable wifi... and I get a spam of programs to d-load, lol. Now I just disable wifi and make sure 3g goes on then go to the app store...

You've got me as far as how/why it does that...

that's so weird.. maybe some G1 techy will stumble upon this thread and tell us why? lol
I didn't receive an update yet, perhaps that's why?

I just googled this right now, and it seems that no one has had this problem... besides the two of us haha

o! and one guy online, but it was posted today aswell.
maybe it'll be better tommorow? :S

and unfortunetly I do not have the same 3G frequencies since I unlocked the G1 and am in Canada.. so yahh lol

In the states we'd probably call that a "Epic Pwn".

I've had the problem since I got it on the 7'th.

When I saw your post i immediately thought I'd see "wifi" in the subject, clicked and sure enough did. There is some kind of flaw in downloading apps through wifi. Perhaps many notice but just figure out that they can d-load normally over 3g...

damnit, you wouldn't believe how expensive data plans are in canada!
I defenetly can't afford one.. hmmm I don't know what to do now..

Did you have any luck today? I have exactly the same problem and am in Canada, too. :(
