Nice! I have been thinking of picking one of those up and running OSX on it. Congrats on the purchase!

Is Windy's surname Tux or Vista?

XP, as preloaded. No optical drive, so I spent the weekend hacking USB flash drives into bootables.

It worked for the bios upgrade, now if I can just get Vista to load off of it ^__^

Or wait until Windows 7?

Anyway, currently we (My bf and I) have been putting the hard drives in his main pc to install things that require cd's. He ghosted his original hdd and loaded it onto a 32gb ssd so I'm jealous.

We had to ghost mine too, and put it on the hdd that came out of his b/c mine was making a whining noise when I tilted the laptop =\

**edit** That makes no sense unless I tell you that he bought a Wind also, the day after I got mine =)

Nice, is that the black one from this series?

If you’re looking for a colorful computer (http://www.slashgear.com/msi-vr220-ya-edition-notebook-launches-1923380/#) option, might you consider the latest (http://www.msimobile.com/) from MSI, the VR220 YA Edition Notebook (http://www.slashgear.com/msi-vr220-ya-edition-notebook-launches-1923380/#)? With this new laptop, you get the best of mobile tech and a dash of style that’s often missing from highly portable products.

Featuring Intel Pentium (http://www.slashgear.com/msi-vr220-ya-edition-notebook-launches-1923380/#) Dual-core processors, these notebooks utilize the ECO Engine Power Management System put out by MSI. This technology makes it so users can switch between five modes to conserve battery life, including Movie, Presentation, Gaming, Turbo or Office. Other features include a TV tuner and a widescreen display.
It also sports a 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, a 3-in-1 card reader, a multimedia burner drive and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Housed in a magnesium alloy case, you’re sure to get some stares for how stylish this thing is. Available in Coral Pink, WASABI Green, Empire Black and Denim Blue, the MSI VR220 YA Edition Notebook is clean, stylish and affordable at $699.99. Check out the full specs below:

Well, I guess most of the excitement is that it is not a notebook/ laptop it is a "net book" which are all the rage this season. The size may turn you off a big but it is designed for ultra portability with decent specs. It is actually pretty cool if you ask me, has some impressive features for the price. I would consider one if I didnt already own a new macbook.

Djwaz, I love my macbook pro. So when I see something like this with those specs, I'm not really impressed.

you can't really compare a macbook pro to a netbook. not really the same thing... at all. netbooks are primarily for browsing the internet. For a netbook those specs are actually impressive.
