G1 not syncing!

really need help on this. i recently fixed all my contacts on the g1 and i deleted the ones on my gmail and now it wont sync. is there a way to export the contacts on the g1 just in case something happens so i wont lose everything? also it seems my gmail and gcal doesnt sync either. i've tried unchecking and rechecking and manual syncs to no avail. even had wifi turned too. all i get is the syncing icon next to the checkmarks but they have been there for almost 2 days. i would do a full reset if i find a way to export all my contacts first. i've read on other sites with some solutions but no mention of exporting contacts from the g1. some help pls.

ok i love this phone but it is annoying the crap out of me. if i end up losing all my contacts im returning this phone. i dont see a reason why i cant manually sync this to the desktop for backup or even send my contacts over to my sim, especially when my syncing to google contacts doesnt work at all. actually syncing to anything doesnt work at all. i've been reading crap for days and found nothing. all these sync programs out there are made only for gmail to outlook or vice versa. nothing that actually syncs with the g1 mobile device. i know the internet is the future but when its craps out, what the hell are u gonna do?

p.s. quick unrelated question. how come in this forum when i post a comment on a thread it doesnt automatically subscribe me to it. even when im the topic starter. is there a option that will do it for me/?
