im at the end of my road. so return the g1 or just wait it out??(CC)

the problem I have is connecting to EDGE network when roaming. now just 2 weeks ago when i first got my g1 everything worked even if roaming under edge.

so I called CC and they say well tmobile does not have coverage in your area. Since we dont have coverage in your area we will wave the cancellation fee for free.

Does tmobile have a different agreement ATT roaming when it comes to 3G phones??(no data service when roaming on 3g phones) thats what One rep told me.

so my question is should I just wait and hope its a problem with tmobiles Edge network or just send the g1 back and get a sidekick08 which worked under edge???


Note: after looking at the thread it seems i'm the only one having problems connecting to the Edge network(roaming)

u pretty much want to return it~~t-mobile nor att will let u use data on roaming with a g1, since t-mobile have to pay att back when u are roaming, thats why they let u go easy witout any penalties, u should let ur g1 go now~~and get a regular EDGE phone, at learst for now~~

I didnt say i wanted too.... i talked to the andriod CC and the guy told me the G1 isnt going to work for me in my area and they will let me choose another phone so.... but what I dont get is it worked the first 10 days but now it dont work. i took my sim card out and put it in my blackberry flip and the net works fine on edge.... im guessing since this is a 3g phone things work different??? I guess i'll play with the Samsung behold tommmorow.

but what I was hoping was anyone else had the same problem I had and somehow got their phone to work under roaming when connected to edge because earlier this week Everyone was having problems connecting to the internet.
