which is pretty stupid but im pretty sure there will be a fix to save to your sd card. i mean why have an sd card when you cant even save apps on it? there are so many little things that the makers should have already had on the phone!

especially when i went through 3 G1's and had to re-download all of that stuff. -- its pretty bad when you have to clear your browser cache to clear up room for downloads. just doesn't mesh with me. -- thats why i returned my G1 and am waiting for a few things that bug me to get fixed until i get my next one. (or until i cant stand being without it anymore, or my MDA breaks)

It's an odd limitation, thats for sure. I suppose they don't want to trust the apps on an SD card.

There is another thread on this with more detailed info. Basically Google is saying that it is not as simple as it sounds. Their main worry is security for the purchased apps to protect the developers as best as they can. They don't want the apps to have the ability to be "copied around." If the developers can't make money off the apps then they will lose interest in Android and the quality of the apps on the Market will suffer.
