Would it hurt the phone/battery if I used a 500mAh charger? I know the OEM charger is 1 amp, but I thought batteries liked lower amperage charges. Reason I ask, I have a sidekick 3 car charger I wanna use that's 500mAh.

Shouldn't make a difference as long as the voltage is the same.

yep it might charge slower, thing with current is its not forced upon, voltage is

voltage and polarity is all that matters it needs to output 5v (give or take .5-1 v) if its a miniUSB jack it must output 5v dc and have the correct polarity or else it will fry every device its plugged into (mini USB is a standard connector and pinout does not change) 4 wires, +5v gnd and 2 data wires

current is drawn by the device that it is connected to, too much current is actually better than not enough, if a device cannot get enough current it will trip the breaker connected to it, or in the case there is no circuit breaker/fuse it will fail to work correctly and may damage the power source or wires, it really cant harm your phone

so worst that can happen is it wont work at all or takes forever to charge your phone :)

I wonder if this is why i have a problem charging my phone with my girlfriend's razr v3 charger.......

Anyone know if they are the same or not as the stock g1 chargers?
