When you get a replacement, because of the squeaky creaks, do they send you a whole phone or just the core, without batt and cover?

Under what circumstances has tmobile sent out a complete boxed phone all new accessaries, and not just a core?

they send you just the phone without a battery... you keep your old one.

They rarely give you one with a new cover and battery, but I have heard of it happening.

I wonder if they'd send you a new battery if you said that was an issue too...

I just received my replacement yesterday and the only thing that I received was the shell. No new battery or back cover and I did not receive a 3.5mm adapter.

And I'll have to add that the replacement was not a refurb and is very solid compared to my old one.

How can you tell the difference between the 2 - refurb and brandy new?

I'm going to go ahead and assume I received a new one as the protective plastic was on it and the phone is still relatively new to the market. If it's an actual refurb, well, they did a great job as this thing is SOLID in comparison to the one I just returned.

I got a replacement last monday, just the "shell", because my initial purchase was freezing... Everything works perfect so far...

As for refurbished Vs New, check the RC Version, Mine came on RC-19, the first version and was later updated to RC30 yesterday.

I didnt complain about batteries, thats not an issue for me, so I dont need another battery and/or sim card.

Oh, the thin transparent plastic screen protector (whew) was there too.

I got just the shell but it looks brand new. So I don't know if it's a refurb or a brand new one . So far no problems (knock on wood )

They sent you a whole new phone without you already sending yours in?

As for the protective plastic on the phone, that is on any refurb also. A refurb is an all new outer plastic shell with a repaired board on the inside. So there really isn't anyway to tell. I am assuming here but i think the refurbs will be updated to the newest Firmware that was out at the time of the rebuild of the board.
