My G1 AIM Messenger Don't Work?!

anyways.. im on a ATT sim card right now using the G1 :)

well i know meepo might prob be better than the STOCK aim that G1 was included but, everytime i try to login.. i ca'nt !

i get a message like this :

"Attention, Unable to sign in to the Aim service. Pelase try again later)
(Detail: Sorry, the phone number cannot be read from your SIM card. Please contact your operator for help.)"

^ That is the message i get.. its weird.. i can connect when im on WIFI , but when im on the data plan. it won't work?!

but meepo works.

anyone have a clue? do i gotta call ATT or something? Or could it just be that ATT users can't get into it? thx

The stock AIM messenger uses an SMS transport. Can you send and receive text messages?

(And BTW, I doubt ATT will be able to help you with an unsupported phone)

Just stick with meebo...much better app than the actual G1 client

yep i do have a data plan $35 unlimited :) text + data
but im still using meepo but getting randomly dc and i hate logining in ALWAYS lol
