I found this good Bible app: CadreBible.

The version 1.0 is good but this Friday (11/14) they will release a new improved version.
This app supports multiple translations, search and have other features.
To install this app just download it using your computer (it did not work for me to download it using the G1's browser) and use AppInstaller to install it from your microSD card.

AcroBible Lite is pretty good also. Jesus FTW!

Glad to see that someone else is working on these types of projects. This is my third-favorite out of the 3 available apps, but it's not bad.
I like AcroBible Lite 2nd-best. My only 2 negatives with it is 1) it save the Bible within the app - so the app is 2mb. I much prefer to have the database file saved to my SD card. The other 2 apps that use this method are at or under 100kb of phone-storage used. and 2) The way the books of the bible are ordered on the home page of the app doesn't really make much sense. They are all there, but in a very strange order.
My favorite is Scriptures. External database files, organized book structure, light & dark themes, etc. It just works better, imo.
But like I said to begin with - they are all great. Any app that gets "the word" out gets a thumbs up from me.
and lol @ "Jesus FTW!"... I've seen FTW used, and used it myself, for lots of things... but never for "Jesus"... i like it :)

It's working well on mine (just looking forward to more translations and the search feature)
I downloaded it straight from the G1 browser - did you change your "application settings" for "Unknown sources - allow install of non-market apps"?
Also, did you download one of the bible versions to the SD card inside a folder named "bible" (you have to create the folder)?
Hope that helps

Hi guys,
CadreBible will be on the market on Friday and it'll include a simple update manager to download and manage translations from the phone.
Hopefully that'll make the install less painful. Then in the next couple of weeks we'll focus on getting more translations in and in v2 (mid-December) we'll have themes and commentaries.
Visit http://forums.cadreworks.com/viewforum.php?f=3&sid=fc918e9a47586d52c2a8572fe167c453 to post feature requests, bug reports and get help using the app.
Cheers,
Warrick

I was surprised to see it on the market this morning (instead of Friday) - I downloaded it and there are some good features added, but it's not working as well as version 1.0 - most noticeable is the problem with the scrolling, but the orientation change is also very slow. I know y'all are working hard on it and I think it will be a great app...

I was getting a force close error when trying to search. I hope this app will still be worked on since the only one that's working for me, AcroBible, only has KJV which I don't like to read because of the way it's written, shakespearean like.

We'll definitely get a fix release out quickly and we'll continue working on CadreBible over the next few months.
I was getting a force close error when trying to search.
Do you see any text in the reader at all when you start the search? If not please long click on the title bar and see if you have any translations available to read.
most noticeable is the problem with the scrolling
Can you give a little more detail on this issue?
Thanks for the feedback guys. We also have CadreBible forums at http://forums.cadreworks.com/viewforum.php?f=3.
