bt uhm ok here is the thing . i get my G1 tuesday . and i saw a couple of threads stating tht if yew get ringtones frm myxertones.com yew cant delete thm and have to master reset jus to do so . so i was wondering if other sites like zedge cause the same problem ..
help ?! :eek:
o yeah and the ringtone maker app, does it let yew pic the part of the song nd the length . im hoping it doesnt jus start right from the beginning of the song .

There's a app in the market called "Ringdroid". You can edit your ringtone and play it from which ever part you want.

alternatively you can make a folder on your SD Card in your phone called "ringtones" and just copy what ever non DRM mp3's you have lying around on there if you want a whole song. But dopes right as far as ease of use Ringdroid is awesome.

ok i get rindroid but i still want to kno if i get some from sites will they be stuck

When you get your G1...
Go to Settings>Text and set all of the auto correct options to ON.

You won't need to hun, that's the point. You can put any song on your G1 for Free and edit Any part you want and play it Anytime for Free.

I get what she's asking, there r websites where u can download ringtones for FREE she wants to know if she download it will she be able to delete them if she don't want them any more. I don't know the answer tho.

yes.
i signed up for zedge and downloaded an asscrap of rindtones and saved them all to the SD card.
but you have to use the android file browser to delete them or plug your phone into a computer and view the contents of the SD card.
BTW, zedge has some really good ringtones and notifications for free.

Don't listen to kommodore. Really don't know why he/she is apart of the forums. This is what I mean. The App called Ringdroid is basically used to edit your music that you store on the phone and use them as ringtones. You can edit any part of the song that you want. So when your phone rings its played at the specific part. I told you that you wouldn't need to Buy anymore ringtones because its not needed to.
