I finally got my G1 updated with RC30, but then the data won't work at all. The internet worked fantastic since I got my G1 and even today.. but after RC30, it just won't work again. The internet was always on 2G to save my battery. So, why is it not working anymore? I tried to find the answer on here, but I must have overlooked somewhere?!! Can anyone help me out or to point me to a resolved post?

Thanks in advance!!!

edited- I forgot to mention that the internet works on wifi, but when the wifi is turned off, it just don't work.

Same here. This is only since this afternoon. Might be a network problem. I am calling them now.....hold time is high so makes sense. Lots of folks must be calling.

I don't think it is R30 causing the problem, as a few people have been having data issues today. I have had no dell data for 4-5 hours now. I have been on RC30 for 2 days now have had no issues until today.

Oh okay. it must be a coincidence for me, because it stopped working right after I updated my G1 to RC30. *shrugs*

Hope it will come back and rescue me at work. It really helped me to kill my time in my empty cubicle. lol

Lucky for me I have Wifi at work or else I would be pissed. T-mo's network needs some serious steroids though. I have never gone without data this long in the 2+ years I have had At&t. :(

I just got off the phone with T-Mobile. They just recieved and email 20 minutes ago from the engineers saying that it's a global issue and there is no estimated time in when the issue will be resolved. I'm just glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was going to need a new handset sent to me! lol

the problem is that when you are in a roaming area, the data wasn't working....we have been discussing about this in TMobile forums site as well and there are lots of users impacted. It has been atleast 4 days that many of us are out of network. Worst part is TMo Cust rep initially told to do a master reset and that messed up everything. Once you do a master reset you will have to enter your gmail details again and without data network, it won't connect to google servers. So the phone is basically a brick for many of us who did a master reset in roaming area. TMo has been sleeping on it and the worst part is no where in the mainstream blogging sites or news sites, this is not seen yet. Very surprising that TMo is getting away with such a serious problem.:mad:
