Well, it was the matter of the time when my G1 would start acting up.

After definitely noticing better battery life after RC30 arrived to my phone, I have experienced more bad stuff than good.

First problem - phone just froze on it's own. Hard reset with battery out/in helped me to get it back on.

Second problem - today it just shut-off on it's own. Hard reset with battery out/in helped to turn it on. After turning it ON my G1 does not have any kind of internet connection anymore. I did factory reset - did not help: now I cannot even activate my gmail account.

I am calling 611 right now to get this resolved ...

Am I pissed? You bet I am ... and T-Mobile will get hit with the hurricane of my anger!

you sure it's not just a network outtage? there were a few times i went as far as flashing new roms on a different phone. only to find out hours later that my internet suddenly started working again.

possible it was attacked by one of those security flaws they have going on. Did you visit Myspace,Facebook,Orkut, craigslist, ebay one of the many sites flooded with Malware that could of done this to your phone

After 86 minutes of troubleshooting I am getting brand new phone shipped by 3-day express service at no charge to me.

One interesting information for all:
Customer Rep stated since I ordered from T-Mobile.com website (pre-order) there was 20-day return period and he would not be able to get me the brand new one. I asked politely if he was able to ask his supervisor and see if he is generous enough to accommodate that one day that I was running behind and he sure did.

If I knew about this I would most likely return my phone and go back to my MDA. Well, before I open the new one - I will think twice: either to sell it and get something more expensive or just keep it and pray whatever happens :)

Just quick update: order has been processed and it is on the way to me. I was asked to pack my old phone up with everything I received the first time and provide them with the tracking number, which I already did. Pretty simple...
