When I Get My G1...

When I get my G1 phone i wanna make sure everything goes right. So I would like to request a list from some of the "experts" on what i needa do (any updates, apps) that i needa install right away to make sure i dont have any complications. (or atleast setup on the phone if it's required).

congratulations my friend. Well i have had the phone since 10/21 and as far as setup the only thing that would be required is a gmail acct...now i can recommend some apps that will make ur life easier on the g1. I would download Any Cut which will make creating shortcuts on the phone easier, i would also suggest Ringdroid for editing ur own ringtones, Rings Extended app would also be recommended to make setting ur own sounds for notification easier. AK Notepad is also great for notes on the phone, I downloaded Bistro Math which is a pretty good tip/calculator app. I would also recommend choosing one of the video players in the market, I currently have the one called Video Player but there is a new one in the market now Cinema which has some decent reviews. Updates should come automatically, tho urs may come with the updates installed already, there is also a way to force updates on the phone but Ive never done that:cool:

Yes as of right now all the ones ive mentioned are free. I have yet to actually run into an app that chrgs u in the android market for the initial download
